If you do a lot of work on the road or are starting up without an autoclave, going the disposable route is the best choice for you. As with all pre-sterilized products, always inspect the packaging of the product before use, at the first sign of packaging not being sealed properly, get a new one. The safety of your client is more important than the couple of cents the disposable piece is worth and your client will thank you for your diligence.

There are many different sizes available but the most popular size by far is the 1” diameter. Always be sure to check the packaging before you open or use disposable products. If there are any signs of the packaging being tampered or opened, throw away that piece and use a new one. Safety first is the rule of thumb. Ensure that you check all expiry dates before using a pre-sterilized product.

We have a lot of inquiries for stainless steel tattoo tips but we no longer carry them as the new trend seems to be going the disposable route. Autoclave sterilization of tips and tubes is time consuming and a decent autoclave is an expensive investment.
